ANALYSIS: This fight depends almost entirely on how you feel about Asker’s ability to close the distance and what results from that happening. In terms of this preview, I am taking a more skeptical glance.
The stylistic dynamic of this fight seems to be forged already. Asker excels when he goes forward, launches his overhand right and segues into close quarters; there is nothing warped about this foggy fight style, especially when the French fighter seeks the clinch, as “The Silverback” buys 3.67 takedowns per 15 minutes.
Stylistically, here is why that may not mean anything: Tuivasa may be limited, but but he is no dummy. Look for Tuivasa’s aggressive, elbow-heavy style to suit him well in his latest Octagon appearance.
