Welterweights
Shamil Musaev (16-0-1, 0-0 PFL) vs. Logan Storley (15-2, 0-0 PFL)Storley comes into his PFL debut after nearly capturing the Bellator title. The South Dakota native has only ever lost to former Bellator champion Yaroslav Amosav and already carries wins over PFL contestants Neiman Gracie and Brennan Ward. “Storm” routinely lives up to his nickname by blitzing opponents with lightning-fast combinations. Though he has nine career knockouts, Storley has not relied on one-punch power but instead stuns his opponents and pounces. Because of Storley’s potent hands, some could forget he is an accomplished folkstyle wrestler. The Kill Cliff FC product was a four-time All-American at the University of Minnesota. Storley can rely on ground time or he can stand and bang with some of the best. He will need his versatility in this fight.
They call Musaev “The Silent Assassin” for good reason. The Moscow slugger is not a man of many words, but his knockouts are swift and deadly. Coming up in the European circuit, Musaev’s record does not have a ton of recognizable names, but going undefeated in Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki is no easy task. Now in the prime of his career, Musaev takes the biggest step against one of the best welterweights on the planet. Storley’s hand speed and wrestling pedigree are tough tasks for Musaev to handle in his PFL debut. Musaev’s gas tank is largely untested, and he will have to pace himself against Storley’s pressure. A win would put his name atop the list of new faces, but Storley looks destined to give him a rude welcome to the major leagues.
