Matchmakers did Shevchenko no favors in her move to the women’s flyweight division, as she draws an undefeated newcomer in hostile territory. “Bullet” has compiled a 3-2 record since joining the UFC roster a little more than two years ago, albeit against strong opposition. Her wins over Sarah Kaufman, Holly Holm and Juliana Pena have been offset by two losses to reigning women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes. Shevchenko becomes an immediate threat at 125 pounds, a fledgling weight class that recently crowned Nicco Montano as its inaugural champion. Off to a perfect 8-0 start, the aggressive and powerful Cachoeira has finished four of her last five opponents.
