1. Dan Henderson vs. Michael Bisping
UFC 100 “Lesnar vs. Mir 2”
July 11, 2009 | Las Vegas
Henderson is without question an all-time great. A two-time Olympic wrestler, he captured Pride titles in two weight classes simultaneously and also won the Strikeforce light heavyweight championship. The weapon for which Henderson is best known is his ridiculously powerful right hand. No one knows the sting of his power any better than Bisping, who was victimized at UFC 100.
Neither man cared for the other. They had served as opposing coaches on Season 9 of “The Ultimate Fighter,” and Henderson vowed to knock out the Englishman. It took longer than he had hoped, but Henderson’s right hand finally found its way to Bisping’s face in the second round.
Bisping backed away from the advancing “Hendo” but made the inexcusable mistake of circling towards Henderson’s power hand. The popular Californian stepped in an unloaded with a rolling overhand right and starched Bisping. The H-Bomb had detonated, but Henderson was not done. Because of the bad blood that existed between the two, Henderson left his feet and dropped a right hand on the snoozing Brit.
