Sherdog's Top 10: Greatest Pride Fights

Welcome again folks, this time to Sherdog’s list of the greatest fights ever to take place in Pride Fighting Championships. This was compiled as an average of many different Sherdog contributors’ lists, and I will note where my own views deviated considerably. Personally though, the appeal of any such list isn’t the exact order, or who was included or excluded, but the actual discussion of each entry. Anyone can come up with a list with no further commentary and it's no more “right” than another. However, the best such lists have entertaining and informative explanations, which is a goal I hope to accomplish.

As in our previous list of the greatest fights in Bellator MMA history, criteria were subjective. Many voters focused primarily on their personal enjoyment of a contest. I also heavily considered the skill level as well as the importance of the bout. A world championship showdown between two legends generally ranked much higher for me than a meeting between two non-contenders. With that in mind, let us begin. As a final note, while we have done our best to curate videos of these great fights, all are available on UFC Fight Pass.
