Shawn Tompkins
(Pictures), the rising-star trainer of
Team Quest's Temecula, Calif. chapter, apprised Sherdog.com of
nearing fights for two of his London, Ontario-based fighters.
Sam Stout (Pictures), who arrived in Temecula on Wednesday night for training camp, will return to the UFC on June 9 against Miletich Fighting Systems' lightweight Spencer Fisher (Pictures).
This will be the second bout between the pair, with Stout having claimed a split decision in March of ‘06.
Holding a contract recently transferred from the UFC to WEC, Mark Hominick (Pictures) finally has an opportunity to fight for Zuffa in the 145-pound division, where he held the TKO title before losing to Hatsu Hioki (Pictures).
Tompkins confirmed Hominick would face an as-yet unknown opponent on WEC's June 3 card, after which the IFL head coach said he believes his featherweight fighter will challenge WEC champion Urijah Faber (Pictures) by the end of summer.
