UFC strawweight Paige VanZant just edged a little closer to winning the 22nd season of “Dancing with the Stars.”

VanZant and “DWTS” partner Mark Ballas performed two routines on Monday as ABC’s long-running celebrity dance competition kicked off its two-night season finale. The show’s judges awarded the pair a near-flawless 29 out of 30 for their salsa set to Pitbull’s “Fireball,” followed by a perfect 30 for their freestyle routine to a jazzy version of “Over the Rainbow.”

VanZant and Ballas will perform their final routine on Tuesday, when the season winner will be decided through a combination of judges’ scores and fan voting. Also in the running for the top spot are “America’s Next Top Model” winner Nyle DiMarco and meteorologist Ginger Zee.
