On Tuesday, Italian mixed martial arts promotion Venator FC revealed that Jason Miller would be coming out of retirement to face Luke Barnatt in a middleweight championship bout on May 21.

The controversial “Mayhem” is apparently confused about the whole situation, because in part of a Periscope session posted by MMA Digest, the 35-year-old fighter spends several minutes discussing a matchup with current UFC heavyweight Josh Barnett.

“So I’m fighting Josh Barnett in Italy, and I’m going to f--k him up,” Miller said. “Catch wrestling is nothing compared to monkey jiu-jitsu.”

If Miller is in on the gag and truly knows his opponent, he gives no indication before the video concludes. The California resident hasn’t competed in mixed martial arts since 2012, when he lost to C.B. Dollaway at UFC 146.
