Cody Garbrandt had the entire crowd behind him and it helped in his fight with Brazilian jiu jitsu world champion Augusto Mendes.
Garbrandt was swinging for the fences every time he let his hands fly and it seemed like a matter of time before one of them landed. Four minutes into their duel, Garbrandt cracked Mendes with a nasty overhand right, flooring him. “No Love” added a few hammerfists, prompting referee Mario Yamasaki to intervene. The official time of the TKO came at 4:18 of the opening frame.
