U.K.-based jiu jitsu promotion Polaris has been mum regarding its fourth event until now. Two bouts have been announced this week for Polaris 4, which goes down on Oct. 29 at the Lighthouse Centre in Poole, England.
Minowa has spent much of his professional life competing in Dream, Pancrase and Pride, where he took on all comers. Though he lost almost as much as he won in MMA, his resume includes 42 submission victories. Agazarm is coming off an entertaining war with Jake Shields at Polaris 3; he’s captured countless medals in the Pan-Ams and Worlds.
Polaris also revealed on Wednesday afternoon that World Masters Champion and ADCC legend Vitor “Shaolin” Ribeiro will take on old rival Terere, a multiple-time world champion in jiu-jitsu. Their encounter will be a 15-minute gi match under Polaris’s professional jiu-jitsu rules.
The preliminary card will be streamed live on Polaris’s official YouTube channel at 4 p.m. U.K. time while the main card will be available via internet pay-per-view beginning at 6:30 p.m. U.K. time.
