Not everyone seems to be on the Jon Jones pound-for-pound bandwagon, as Georges St. Pierre still has plenty of supporters.

St. Pierre will defend his Ultimate Fighting Championship welterweight crown against top contender Johny Hendricks in the UFC 167 main event on Nov. 16 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. The 32-year-old French Canadian has held the 170-pound title since April 19, 2008, his reign now longer than any other current UFC champion.

A Tristar Gym representative, St. Pierre has won 11 consecutive bouts. He last appeared at UFC 158 in March, when he captured a unanimous decision over former Strikeforce champion Nick Diaz at the Bell Centre in Montreal. St. Pierre has come under increasing fire from critics who point to his lack of finishing prowess. His last six bouts -- wins over Diaz, Carlos Condit, Jake Shields, Josh Koscheck, Dan Hardy and Thiago Alves -- have all reached the judges.

Both Sherdog.com and UFC.com rank Jones ahead of St. Pierre on the pound-for-pound list. The 26-year-old Jackson’s Mixed Martial Arts export has never been legitimately defeated and has secured eight of his past nine victories by knockout, technical knockout or submission. Jones’ list of victims includes Vitor Belfort, Lyoto Machida, Quinton Jackson, Mauricio Rua and Ryan Bader.
