On Oct. 14, 2010, Bellator MMA was in Kansas City, Missouri, for Bellator 32, which featured tournament fights from Bellator’s third season.
In the main event, Cole Konrad submitted Neil Grove in the first round to become the first Bellator heavyweight champion. Konrad would then fight at Bellator 48 in a non-title bout and defend his title at Bellator 70. He retired with a 9-0 record.
The co-main event saw Zach Makovski edge out a decision win over Ed West to become the first bantamweight champion. At welterweight, Jim Wallhead beat Ryan Thomas by decision to become Bellator’s welterweight tournament winner. Opening up the main card was Michael Chandler, fighting at welterweight, where he submitted Chris Page in 57 seconds.
