Terence Crawford, the reigning WBO and WBC champ at 140 pounds, was sentenced to 90 days in jail Thursday morning on a pair of misdemeanor charges that stemmed from an incident in Omaha back in April. Crawford was found guilty in September on one count of property damage to a local body shop and one count of disorderly conduct. “Bud” was found not guilty of trespassing.

Crawford was accused of having a dispute with a body shop owner over money owed and the work that was done. When the champ and a group of friends arrived at the shop, Crawford reportedly removed his vehicle from a hydraulic lift. The shop owner claimed that the fighter damaged the machine when he drove his vehicle off, according to a report from the Omaha World-Herald.

“You’ve continued to act as if you are above the law, and you are not,” Judge Marcena Hendrix told Crawford at his sentencing.

While Crawford was sentenced to 90 days in jail, he will only serve 53 days behind bars under the sentencing guidelines, according to the report. Crawford, who just defeated John Molina Jr. over the weekend, will also have to serve two years probation, pay $6,000 in restitution, spend 120 hours doing community service and be subjected to random drug and alcohol tests. His lawyers are reportedly working on getting him released today.
