Podcast: Roy Nelson, Micah Miller

“Beatdown” was live on the Sherdog Radio Network Monday. Joining hosts TJ De Santis and Sherdog.com founder Jeff Sherwood were fighters Roy Nelson and Micah Miller.

Nelson was victorious at UFC 159 where he defeated Cheick Kongo by knockout in the first round. The former International Fight League heavyweight champion joined TJ De Santis to talk about his recent victory, where it puts him inline for a UFC title shot, and who he surrounds himself with when it comes to making decisions in the fight game. Nelson also talks about a potential fight with Daniel Cormier and if his mullet and bearded style is truly him or if it is an angle to play up his “Big Country” gimmick.

De Santis and Sherwood also welcomed in Dream and WEC veteran Miller. The American Top Team product was victorious over the weekend defeating Tyler Combs in Ohio. Miller joined the show to discuss his road back to a bigger show, his gradual move to welterweight, and his stance on steroids in the sport.
