The newly-renovated Nassau Veterans memorial Coliseum in Long Island, N.Y., will serve as the host venue Saturday night as Premier Boxing Champions brings another solid card to fight fans on Fox and FS1. Former lightweight world champion Omar Figueroa Jr. will collide with Robert Guerrero in a welterweight battle in the main event and at Friday’s weigh-ins, everybody made weight.
Figueroa (26-0-1, 18 KOs), meanwhile, has been on a tear. The unbeaten Texan is coming off an impressive win over Antonio DeMarco in December and wants to add another important name to his resume. “Panterita” came in slightly lighter than his foe; Figueroa Jr. weighed 146.4 pounds.
The main card will be televised live on Fox and Fox Deportes beginning at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. From there, the action will transfer to FS1 where Jamal James (146.2) will take on Jo Jo Dan (146.8) in a welterweight duel.
