2017 continues to be an amazing year for the sport of boxing as many of the best young fighters have been matched up against each other. That trend continues as Showtime announced another massive fight that is set for the summer, as undefeated sensation Mikey Garcia will take on former four-division world champion Adrien Broner.

Garcia (36-0, 30 KOs) has already captured world titles at featherweight, super featherweight and lightweight and the Californian will be moving up to junior welterweight to face “The Problem.” Garcia has already clubbed top-level foes Juan Carlos Burgos, Roman Martinez, Juan Manuel Lopez and Orlando Salido and he hopes to add Broner’s name to his resume.

Broner (33-2, 24 KOs) has never lost a fight at or below the 140-pound weight limit. His only losses came to Marcos Maidana and Shawn Porter, which were both at welterweight. The Cincinnati fighter snatched up world titles at super featherweight, lightweight, super lightweight and welterweight. He’s won his last three bouts and most recently edged Adrian Granados via decision in February.

The bout will take place on July 29 and will be televised live on Showtime. However, a host city and venue has not been announced as of yet.
