Joker’s Battles will Continue in Cage

Michael “The Joker” Guymon, of Lake Forest, Calif., admits he probably should not have fought his last two fights. Guymon was not just fighting his opponents inside the Octagon; he was also battling himself and depression.

However, Guymon has spent the past year getting his life and mental health in order, and he is ready to make a comeback. Guymon (12-5-1) recently signed a three-fight deal with the BAMMA USA promotion and will return to the cage to face Frankie Saenz (4-1) at BAMMA USA “Bad Beat 5” on March 16 at Commerce Casino in Commerce, Calif.

“I feel like I’m starting over again,” Guymon said. “I feel like it’s my first fight. You know, I’ve had a year off. It feels like a brand new everything, a new life, a new start, a new everything.”
