Michael “The Joker” Guymon of Lake Forest, Calif., is on a mission to fight his way back into the UFC.

The former UFC veteran has put himself through one of the most grueling training camps of his career to get ready for his fight against Xtreme Couture’s Mike Dizak at BAMMA USA: Badbeat 6 on Friday at 7 p.m. at Commerce Casino.

“I know if I’m going to get there (to the UFC), there’s going to be even more obstacles,” Guymon said. “You don’t become a winner by things being handed to you. It’s not given to you. You have to fight for it. You have to fight for everything in life. You have to fight for a job at Panera. I mean, how many people are applying for a job here? Everything is a fight. If I’m going to get back to the UFC, I’m going to have to go through a lot of (junk). I’m going to have to go through a lot of painful experiences to get to my goal.”
