Ian McCall, on “The Savage Dog Show,” comparing his wrestling skills to Demetrious Johnson’s:
“I know he doesn’t work with the caliber of wrestlers that I work with. Sure, I’m not an NCAA All-American or champion or world whatever, but I knew I was a better wrestler than him. If you watch his tapes, he’s all straightforward. He doesn’t cut angles. And even feeling him now, knowing his power and knowing he’s not that strong, he’s not that heavy, I know technically I’m better. But also I could hear Matt Hume say, ‘Switch to a double. The single isn’t working.’ But he’s not going to hit a power double on me. I’m much stronger than him. In the wise words of Pee Wee Herman, I’m sorry I’m not sorry.”
