Earlier this week, it looked as if there would be no Carlos Condit-Nick Diaz rematch. Then, the rematch was agreed to before it was off the table once again. What happened?
Condit’s manager, Malki Kawa, told MMAWeekly.com on Tuesday that he and Condit’s camp did not think a rematch with Diaz following UFC 143 was the right move for Condit, who captured the interim UFC welterweight title on Saturday.
A few hours later, UFC President Dana White said via his Twitter account that a rematch had been offered to and accepted by Condit.
“There is not going to be a rematch,” Diaz’s manager and trainer, Cesar Gracie, told MMAWeekly.com on Wednesday.
