In only her second mixed martial arts bout under the Combate Americas banner, women's flyweight Zoila "The Warrior Princess" Frausto will headline the Fresno, California, main event against Judo ace Reina Cordoba. Combate Americas Fresno hits the Save Mart Center on Friday, August 2.
"The Warrior Princess," whose specialty is kickboxing and Muay Thai, made an impressive Combate Americas debut in February when she defeated combat sports veteran Jaimee Nevera with a knee to the body in the first round.
This time around, the 14-5 Madera, California, native will face off against a three-time Central American Judo champion in Cordoba. Cordoba (9-1) hails from San Jose, Costa Rica, and is also a two-time Pan American Sambo tournament champion who has finished nine of eight MMA victories by TKO or submission.
Unlike previous Combate Americas fight cards, the Fresno event will not stream live on Dazn, but will instead only air live on Univison at 12 a.m. ET.
