Every Wednesday, Administrative Editor Jordan Breen welcomes a member of the mixed martial arts media into “Press Row” on the Sherdog.com blog. This week, Breen is joined by Bleacher Report lead MMA writer Chad Dundas.
Ahead of the UFC's second doubleheader of the year this Saturday with cards in New Zealand and Texas, Breen and Dundas yak about the changing nature of UFC main events in 2014. The two look at the Nate Marquardt-James Te Huna headliner in Auckland -- the first UFC main event in history with two fighters having lost their two in the promotion -- as a sign of the times and wonder how the company could be more creative with its main event booking, as well as reflecting on the surprisingly bizarre and noteworthy career of Marquardt.
Breen and Dundas also contemplate the line-up for an all-MMA concert, drop behind-the-scenes gossip on the infamous International Fight League rap song, and which members Dundas and his “Co-Main Event Podcast” compatriot Ben Fowlkes would be if they were legendary hip-hop duo Outkast.
Grab your credential and get a seat in “Press Row.”
