Cezar ‘Mutante’ Ferreira Wants Rematch with C.B. Dollaway

In a span of three months, Cezar Ferreira has been involved in two very different UFC fights.

At UFC Fight Night “Shogun vs. Henderson 2,” the Blackzilian was finished by C.B. Dollaway via punches in a mere 39 seconds. But on Saturday in San Antonio, “Mutante” made a statement against Andrew Craig during UFC Fight Night “Swanson vs. Stephens,” as he controlled two of three rounds en route to a unanimous decision victory.

For the 29-year-old, the victory was the first step on the road to redeeming himself in a rematch with Dollaway -- preferably sooner rather than later.

During an interview with Fox Sports 1, Ferreira explained why he feels he deserves a second chance against “The Doberman.”

“So, my last fight, Mr. Dollaway, you just had luck,” Ferreira said. “I want a rematch with you. You can run, my friend, but you can’t hide. I stay behind you.”

While the proposed tilt makes perfect sense for Ferreira, Dollaway is slowly turning heads in middleweight division. The Tempe, AZ. native is 4-1 his last five times inside the Octagon and is coming off a unanimous decision win over Francis Carmont at UFC Fight Night “Munoz vs. Mousasi” on May 31.
