Toss in the fact the Showtime Championship Boxing on CBS event will kick off its telecast with the sensational featherweight championship bout between titlist Jesus Cuellar and former three-division champ Abner Mares, and the makings of a legendary night are in play.
Junior middleweight Jarrett Hurd (17-0, 11 KOs) will take on Oscar Molina (13-0, 10 KOs) in a scheduled 10-rounder. Light heavyweights David Benavidez (14-0, 13 KOs) and Francy Ntetu (16-0, 3 KOs) will lock horns over eight rounds as well.
Also announced for the undercard will be a junior welterweight Regis Prograis (17-0, 14 KOs); 2012 Spanish Olympian Jonathan Alonso (8-0, 4 KOs); Heather Hardy (16-0, 4 KOs); Adam Kownacki (13-0, 10 KOs); and Josue Vargas (4-0, 3 KOs) all knuckling up with opponents to be named later.
