Mickey Rourke is scheduled to fight Elliot Seymour in a boxing match on Nov. 28.
Rourke, a 62-year-old actor who fought professionally eight times between 1991 and 1994, trained under the tutelage of Freddie Roach and accrued a record of 6-0-2 with four wins coming via technical knockout. Prior to going pro, Rourke fought 30 times as an amateur.
“Boxing is a serious part of my life,” Rourke stated in a press release. “It taught me respect and determination, patience and concentration. I always dreamed of fighting a match in Russia.”
His opponent, who also hails from the U.S., holds a career mark of 1-9. Seymour has lost all but one of his fights via decision and has not been victorious since 2009.
